Eduroam (Educational Roaming) is an international project whose main objective is to provide secure Internet access to staff and students of academic institutions. At Gdańsk University of Technology and its campus wireless network Eduroam is provided free of charge and is locally maintained by IT Services Centre (CUI).
To whom?
The service is available to Gdańsk Tech students and employees having an active account in Moja PG system.
By using the network sharing services, you accept the Regulations of the University Computer Network at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
How to get access?
Gdańsk Tech students and employees access the network with logging in a similar way as to Moja PG. Username (login) must be given along with the domain, i.e. login@pg.edu.pl for employees and login@student.pg.edu.pl for students.
You can access the network in two ways:
- without the use of certificates (the method is faster to set up, but is of reduced safety – e.g. in the case of other networks spoofing Eduroam)
- with certification (the configuration is more demanding, among others, a valid user certificate is required, it has an appropriate degree of security).
